What Are The Types Of Diabetes?
There are 3 main types of diabetes
Type 1 Diabetes
#1

In this condition, your body does not produce enough insulin, and you need a daily dose of insulin injection to maintain your optimal blood sugar levels

Type 2 Diabetes
#2

The most common form of diabetes, this condition arises when the body cannot make good use of the insulin that is produced. Bad lifestyle patterns are synonymous with type 2 diabetes but are not limited to it. There are other factors like age, weight and hereditary genes at play too.

Gestational Diabetes
#3

It is a form of diabetes seen in pregnant women. The risk of high blood sugar levels is imminent and can affect both the mother and the child.

Why Consider Diabetes Insurance Policy?

Managing diabetes is highly individualized & so is selecting right policy. Most insurers provide coverage for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, but it is wise to read the policy terms & conditions before finalizing the plan. You can also opt for Individual or Family Floater plans based on your requirements.

Diabetes-related expenses can add up quickly. Ensure to select a plan that provides access to care and treatments you need- whether it's regular check-ups, medications, outpatient expenses, doctor consultation or diagnostic tests. Some plans also offer Personal Accident cover or specialized treatments without worrying about the cost.

Diabetes plans offer tax benefits on premium paid, allowing you to optimize your financial planning while prioritizing your health.
